Lecture theatres are large spaces within university campuses and are likely to be affected most as we shift pedagogies towards blended learning, authentic learning and problem-based learning.
In 2021, Loren Taylor, a BSc Architecture student at the Welsh School of Architecture, joined the Future Learning Environments team to reimagine lecture theatres. We were in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. Through discussions and workshops with students and sector experts, a deck of concept cards were created. Chenxiao Dai, a LE-DR Lab 1 student, thereafter explored application of some of these concepts on Cardiff Campus.
